Rehab For Me
Here at East Coast Recovery, we recognise how anxious you may be feeling at the prospect of coming in to rehab. It is common for people to feel a little lost and frustrated with the apparent hopelessness of the situation; it’s ok and quite normal to feel that way. First of all, let us reassure you that you are not alone, you’re not the first person to find yourself in this situation and recovery from addiction is entirely possible for you.
The fact that you are already here, and researching, is a huge step to accepting that you have a problem with drugs and / or alcohol. You can’t change what you don’t accept!
Have you tried:-
- To stop or moderate?
- To deny the seriousness of your actions on your family or friends?
- Therapy, counselling or local drug/alcohol agencies (drink diaries)?
- Moving from your drug of choice to another?
- Maybe even been through a rehab programme before?
If this sounds familiar, then it is likely that you have explored and exhausted all other options. Maybe you have been in rehab before but didn’t follow through with your recovery. Residential treatment will give you the opportunity to change your environment and focus on dealing with your addictive disorder. If you are going to be successful in overcoming your addiction, you are going to need to know what is really wrong with you and what you can do about it! It’s been our experience that being equipped with the right information and coping strategies will help you to make the necessary changes to your life.
We know that picking up the phone may feel frightening but please be assured that all communication is confidential. You will experience high level of understanding and care from our dedicated Admissions Team from the moment you pick up the phone. They are on hand daily from 8.30am – 10.00pm to answer any questions that you may have and to support you through the whole process including the day of arrival.
You will be asked a series of questions to assess and determine a bespoke programme to suit your individual needs. Once this has been established and a full assessment carried out, an admission date can be arranged. We realise that it is likely that you will be feeling anxious before coming in, so please be assured that we have lots of experience welcoming people into our friendly rehab facility. If you have the courage to come, we will make you feel safe and supported. From our experience we know that once you have been here for 24- 48 hours you will feel at home and know you are in the right place – doing something positive to change your life.
Many people are unsure whether they require a detox, so this is determined before arranging your stay. A detox is a medically supervised method of safely making the transition from substance abuse to abstinence. You will see our empathetic GP on arrival who will assess and prescribe the right medication for your detox needs. Once you have your medication you will be monitored physically and mentally throughout the detox and most people find the whole experience very comfortable.
During your stay at East Coast Recovery you will engage in a combination of group therapies that include 12 step work, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Neuroscience and NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming). On arrival you will be assigned your own key worker for the duration of your treatment who will see you on a 1-2-1 basis and assist you throughout. They will work collaboratively with our support and therapy teams to ensure all your recovery needs are met. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice meditation to enhance your wellbeing, along with relaxing walks along our scenic coastline.
When your stay with us comes to an end, we will keep in touch as we acknowledge that a transition from residential treatment back into the community can be a difficult process. We will also make sure that you are signposted to community networks that can support you in your recovery journey.
We have helped thousands of people from all walks of life recover both mentally and physically. We have seen broken homes rebuilt and families reunited. Let East Coast Recovery do the same for you.
